[ THE PROBLEM ]
Peak-season queues move faster than a keyboard.
Shops selling fast-moving festive stock see a wall of customers ordering several items at once during the busiest week of the year. Typing each line item into a register just cannot keep pace, and mistakes at the counter cost more than the sale itself.
Owners also had no live view of stock across branches, so they found out an item was sold out only when a customer complained.

[ HOW WE WORKED ]
We started behind the counter, not at a whiteboard. Watching a shop owner take orders during a rush made it clear that typing was the bottleneck — voice was the only input fast enough to match a customer reading off a list.
Getting voice recognition reliable for local product names and mixed Tamil-English phrasing took the most iteration. We trained matching against a smart-match layer that scores confidence on every command, so a misheard item gets flagged rather than silently billed.
Inventory and multi-branch support shipped after billing was solid, so the core flow was fast and dependable before anything else was layered on.
